Welcome to DOOMSAFE ("we", "our", or "us"). We built this app to help you reclaim your attention from addictive social media feeds. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Waitlist / email: If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address to keep you informed about DOOMSAFE updates and our launch.

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

DOOMSAFE is built on a privacy-first principle. We explicitly do not:

• See, store, or transmit your social media credentials (username or password). All authentication happens directly inside the in-app browser between you and the social platform.
• Track which posts you read, like, or interact with.
• Sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
• Collect any biometric data.

2.3 Usage Statistics (optional, on-device)

The app may calculate on-device session statistics (e.g., time spent per app session) to show you your own usage. This data never leaves your device.

2.4 Technical & Analytics Data

We may receive standard technical data such as app version, iOS version, and crash reports through Apple's built-in analytics (only if you have opted in at the system level). We use this solely to fix bugs and improve performance.

• To operate and improve the DOOMSAFE app and website.
• To send you waitlist updates or newsletters you have subscribed to.
• To respond to your support requests or feedback.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We retain your email address only for as long as you remain on our waitlist or subscribed to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send you.

DOOMSAFE embeds web views of third-party social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter). Your interactions with those platforms are governed by their own privacy policies. DOOMSAFE acts only as a browser — we do not intercept or store any data exchanged between your device and those platforms.

We use the following third-party services in our infrastructure:

• Vercel — website hosting (subject to Vercel's privacy policy).
• AWS SES — transactional email delivery for the waitlist.

DOOMSAFE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for EU/UK residents).
